Ghostbusters is a 1984 American comedy film directed by Ivan Reitman and written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis. It stars Bill Murray, Aykroyd, and Ramis as Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, and Egon Spengler, respectively, a team of beginner parapsychologists who start a ghost hunt business in New York City.

The film also features Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis and features Annie Potts, William Atherton, and Ernie Hudson in starring roles.

In line with her spiritual interest, Aykroyd became pregnant with Ghostbusters as her project with John Belushi. The main characters would travel time and space to fight the many threats of demons and supernatural forces.

After Belushi’s death, and Aykroyd’s idea of being considered financially bankrupt, he paired with Ramis to rewrite the document in order to present it in New York City and make it a reality. Ghostbusters was the first comedy film to use expensive special effects.

There have been concerns about the budget we will need and little faith in its ability to succeed in the box office. With an estimated budget of $ 25-30 million, the recording took place from October 1983 to January 1984, in New York City and Los Angeles.

The competition for special effects studios between various development movies at the time meant that part of the budget was used to acquire a new studio under Richard Edlund. A combination of visual effects, miniatures, and puppets have been used to deliver a beautiful look.

Ghostbusters: After Life is an American comedy 2021 directed by Jason Reitman, co-authored with Gil Kenan. Filmmakers Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace and Paul Rudd, while Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts played their part in the original films.

It is the sequence of Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989) and the fourth total film in the Ghostbusters franchise. Set thirty years after the events of the second film, a single mother and her two children moved to a small town in Oklahoma, where they discovered their connection with the original Ghostbusters and their grandfather’s secret estate.

Ghostbusters’ third film has been in various stages of development since the release of Ghostbusters II in 1989, which stopped as Murray refused to commit to the project. After the death of actor member Harold Ramis in 2014, Sony instead produced a reboot released in 2016.

The film worked poorly in the box office, and Reitman began making original films. The new members were announced in July 2019, with the first actors signing up two months later. The recording takes place from July to October 2019.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife was filtered unannounced on August 23, 2021, during the 2021 CinemaCon event in Los Angeles, and is expected to be released in the United States on November 19, 2021, after four delays from the first day of July 2020 due to the COVID epidemic -19.

After being evicted from their home, a single mother and her two children were forced to move to a dilapidated farm in Summerville, Oklahoma, left by their late grandfather, where mysterious earthquakes were discovered despite the absence of any wrongdoing and unusual occurrences at the former mine suspect Ivo Shandor.

The children discover the history of their grandfather and the early Ghostbusters, who have long forgotten the world beyond their followers.

When supernatural phenomena related to New York City’s “Manhattan Crossrip” emerge and threaten the world, children, and their families and friends, they must use Ghostbusters and become their fans to save it.

In 1999 following the release of Ghostbusters II, Dan Aykroyd co-wrote the third film called Ghostbusters III: Hellbent. The idea was that the characters would be transferred to another Manhattan version of Manhellton, where people and places are “hellish” versions of the Earth, and the Ghostbusters meeting was confronted with the devil.

At the time, Aykroyd said the studio was ambitious, even though the main actors (especially Bill Murray) were not present. There was a new and small group of Ghostbusters, and Ray, Egon, and Winston fought to keep the business going on and Peter’s relationship with Dana to grow.

In 2004, the successive movement was re-examined by the studio, although Bill Murray again expressed his indifference to the project, saying he did not like the sequence. The following year, Ramis confirmed plans to introduce Ben Stiller to the main characters.

In 2009, however, the construction of the project was halted. In January 2010, Ivan Reitman confirmed he would lead the film. In March, Murray discussed the film’s plot, as well as his mixed feelings about re-playing his role. It was scheduled to be released for Christmas 2012. In the October issue of Vanity Fair, Aykroyd commented on a screenplay by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, saying he was very impressed with the way Murray’s character was written, as well as the launch of a new team and real team, while he and Ramis worked on a second script.

Following the death of Harold Ramis on February 24, 2014, Sony Pictures said Ramis would appear in the film using a cameo. As the script needed to be redesigned after Ramis’ passing, the project was delayed again.

In March 2015, it was confirmed that Reitman would not be directing the third film, but would remain as a producer with plans to launch the main film in early 2015. Sigourney Weaver later revealed that the son of his character would be seen as a member of the group. Again, the project was delayed when the studio wanted a new director.

GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE Afterlife development:

The new film, linked to the first two films, was unveiled in January 2019. Jason Reitman, the son of former director Ivan Reitman, has been announced to direct the script with Gil Kenan, and Ivan Reitman will be working as a producer.

According to Borys Kit of The Hollywood Reporter, the film will feature teenagers, two boys and two girls, as the new staff of a titular group. The film was due to be released on July 10, 2020, but was delayed until March 5, 2021, due to COVID-19. The main shooting began in July 2019 in Calgary and ended in October of that year.

Director Jason Reitman said the film would ignore the 2016 Ghostbusters re-launch events directed by Paul Feig. Later, in February 2019, Reitman said in a podcast that the film “will return this movie to fans”. Reitman has made it clear that he did not intend to take down the 2016 film, and that he has “nothing but admiration” for Feig.

Feig himself said that Reitman had been a supporter of his film, and “can’t wait to see his replacement Ghostbusters all over”. Reitman later explained the origin of his film, that the idea of a young girl wanting to be a Ghostbuster had come to him, and with a positive response to Feig’s film, it proved that the idea that anyone could be a Ghostbuster would work.

Reitman went on to say that the Ghostbusters franchise could easily be extended to all sorts of people who became Ghostbusters, thanking Feig for making this possible. Reitman observes that unlike most Ghostbusters’ first three films involving people entering a lucrative business who wanted to make this film about the family first, and Kenan, made a text based on the Spengler family and why he was fired.

According to Reitman’s script, Aykroyd said, “Jason Reitman wrote a beautiful, heartfelt text that took real DNA from the first two movies and passed it directly on to the third generation, the next generation.

Bill Murray, who also confirmed that he is returning to rewrite Peter Venkman, said in a script, “The text is beautiful. It has many emotions in it. It has many families in it, with very interesting lines.”

With a family-focused script, Reitman also saw fit to also change the setting from New York City to American West, giving the film a new identity from previous films with a different colour palette. The script is constructed as a mystery to reveal a bit of Egon Spengler’s character interaction, which will then bring some of the Ghostbusters’ past elements to the film.

For example, the film shows that Drs. Ray Stantz (Aykroyd’s character) is back to using Ray’s Occult Books as shown in Ghostbusters II.

Adhering to the original Ghostbusters film, Reitman and the production crew reviewed the formation of ghosts and other supernatural beings from the original film in post-mortem design, realizing that almost every original film had an original and unique text.

This in part led to the creation of Muncher, a Slimer-like ghost, of Afterlife. Reitman said: “Something happened to Slimer years ago when people started to think of him as a dalmatian firehouse. The original Slimer was an angry and very scary man and we wanted to get back to that.”

Ghostbusters made its long-awaited return, restarting with a new set of humorous new characters. Thirty years after the first beloved franchise took the world by storm, director Paul Feig brings his new take on an unusual comedy, joining some of the most entertaining actors in action <FAQ>
